【摘要】:Thisdocumentgivesguidanceontheselection,installation,useandmaintenanceofelectricallyoperatedGroupIIapparatusintendedforuseinindustrialandcommercialsafetyapplicationsforthedetectionandmeasurementof:·combustiblegases,asdescribedinEN50054,EN50057,EN50058;or·oxygenasdescribedinEN50104.Thisguideisacompilationofpracticalknowledgetoassisttheuser.Combustiblegasdetectionapparatus,fixed,transportableorportable,maybeusedwheneverthereisthepossibilityofarisktolifeorpropertycausedbytheaccumulationofacombustiblegas-airmixture.Suchapparatuscanprovideameansofreducingtheriskbydetectingthepresenceofthecombustiblegasandissuingsuitableaudibleorvisualwarnings.Itmayalsobeusedtoinitiatespecificsafetyprecautions(e.g.plantshutdown,evacuation,operationoffireextinguishingprocedures).Itisapplicabletoallnewpermanentinstallationsand,wherereasonablypracticable,toexistingpermanentinstallations.Itisalsoapplicabletotemporaryinstallations,whetherneworexisting.Thisguideisnotintended,butmayprovideusefulinformation,forthefollowing:·apparatusintendedforthemeasurementofoxygendeficiencywhichmayaffecthumanhealth;·apparatusintendedonlyforthedetectionofnon-combustibletoxicgases;·apparatusoflaboratoryorscientifictypeintendedonlyforanalysisormeasurementpurposes;·apparatusintendedforundergroundminingapplications;·apparatusintendedonlyforprocesscontrolapplications.Thisguidedoesnotapplytothefollowing:·apparatusforthedetectionofexplosives;·apparatusintendedforthedetectionofapotentiallycombustibleatmosphereresultingfromdustormistinair;·openpathapparatusnotusedforpointmeasurement.note:1)GroupIIapparatusaresuitableforplaceswithpotentiallyexplosiveatmospheres,otherthanminessusceptibletofiredamp,see4.3.2)Forthepurposeofthisguide,"toxic"covers"toxic","verytoxic"and"harmful"gasesandvapours.
