【摘要】:Crossproductcontaminationoccurswheneveralloysteelpowdersareprocessedinthesameequipmentasironpowders.Unalloyedironparticles,becausetheymaynothardenuponheattreatment,areapotentialsourceofsoftspotsinlow-alloysteelparts.Alloyedironparticles,havinghigherhardenabilitythananironorcarbonsteelmatrix,areapotentialsourceofhardspots.Hardorsoftspotsmaycauseproblemsinserviceormachining.Theresultsofthetestsmaybeusedtoqualifypartsforshipmentinaccordancewithguidelinesagreedbetweenpurchaserandmanufacturerortocheckthesuitabilityofmixesforuseinpowderforging.1.Scope1.1Thistestmethodcoversametallographicprocedurefordeterminingthepercentageofalloyedorunalloyedironcontaminationpresentinpowderforgedlow-alloysteelmaterialsandthepercentageofalloyedironcontaminationinpowderforgedironandcarbonsteelmaterials.1.2PropertyvaluesstatedinSIunitsarethestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
